Luluc – Without A Face

The voice that tells of dazzling colours and make believe moves with such peaceful, tender steps throughout Without A Face, its magical world falls easily towards reality.

A wholesome flush of traditional folk draped verse, the Australian duo (pronounced Loo-LUKE) have been promptly signed to Sub Pop for the July 14th release of second album Passerby.

The record follows little known debut Dear Hamelyn which amassed a small but loyal cohort of fans, from The National – whose Aaron Dessner went on to produce Passerby and Nick Drake producer Joe Boyd, who said of the debut;

“I played it in my bedroom one night when I was reading and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s nice.’ And I played it again the next night, then I played it again the next night, and finally I was like, ‘Who the hell is this?’”
